I'm running XP and Linux Mint 7 on one pc, Vista on my laptop and Windows 7 on another pc and so far only the linux boots faster than the Win7. It's intense. I am using the Tiny version of win7 though so its got a lot of the crap that slows windows down removed, only prob is it makes getting drivers a mission and the networking just won't happen.
